- Heat a non-stick pot on high, add 1 tablespoon of oil and swirl it over the base.
- Sear half the beef in a single layer for about 5 minutes per side until browned, then remove it and sear the rest the same way.
- Add the remaining 1/4 cup of oil to the pot and heat for about 2 minutes on high.
- Add the onion and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Rinse the rice and drain it well.
- Add the rice to the pot and stir continuously for 5 minutes so it fries without burning.

- Add the 4 cups (1 liter) of water, 1 teaspoon salt and the seasoning cubes, stir, then add the browned beef.
- Cover the pot tightly with its lid, sealing the edges with a large sheet of foil folded over the lid's edges.
- Cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Open the pot, spread the diced carrot and green beans over the rice, close the lid and turn off the heat. Rest for 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice to mix in the vegetables and serve warm.
