- Nutmeg · powder½ tsp
- Saffron1 tsp + 1 pinch

- Put the almonds, pistachios, cashews, cardamom powder and saffron in a spice grinder and pulse a few times to a coarse powder. Store it in an airtight container; this makes extra masala powder.
- Add a teaspoon of water to a stainless steel saucepan, then add the milk.
- Heat over medium heat until the milk reaches a rolling boil.
- Lower the heat and stir in 2 tablespoons of masala powder per cup of milk. Simmer on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Pour into cups, garnish with sliced pistachios and a few saffron strands, and serve hot.
