Masala Super-Seed Crackers (Oven & Air Fryer)
Ingredients
- Flax seed½ cups
- Pumpkin seed½ cups
- Sunflower seed½ cups
- Chia seed¼ cups
- Sesame seed¼ cups
- Psyllium husk powder1 tbsp
- Cumin1 tsp
- Carom seed1 tsp
- Turmeric · ground½ tsp
- Black pepper½ tsp
- Salt1 ¼ tsp
- Fenugreek · dried1 tbsp
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the seeds, psyllium husk and spices. Add the hot water and mix well, then leave for about 15 minutes until thick and gel-like.
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Line a large baking sheet with parchment. Pour the mixture in the centre and spread it into a thin, even layer about 10 x 15 inches (roughly 3 mm thick) with a silicone spatula.
- Optionally, score the surface into squares with a pizza cutter, either at the start, halfway through baking, or not at all.
- Bake at 325°F for 25 minutes.
- Rotate the tray, then bake for a further 20 to 25 minutes until the pieces are lightly golden and crisp. Start checking 5 to 10 minutes early, and lower the heat slightly if the edges brown too quickly.
- Let the crackers cool completely so they crisp further.
