Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment or non-stick foil.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork and ground turkey with the dried garlic, dried onion, paprika, sea salt, black pepper, maple syrup and parsley.
- Knead with your hands until the mixture is uniform.
- Portion about 6 tablespoons of the mixture per patty, roll each portion into a ball, and press it flat on the parchment.
- Bake the patties at 400°F for 18 to 22 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the patties from the sheet and lightly pat them dry with paper towels.
- Alternatively, fry the patties in a large pan over medium heat with a drizzle of avocado oil, about 5 to 6 minutes per side, until they reach 165°F internal.
- Toast the English muffins, ideally buttered on a griddle; a toaster oven also works.
- Fry the eggs in a large non-stick pan over medium heat with a few teaspoons of melted butter until cooked to your liking (the creator prefers over-medium).
- Mash the avocado with salt, pepper and lemon juice into a chunky spread.
- Spread mayonnaise on each toasted muffin half, add mashed avocado to one half, then layer a patty, a fried egg and cheese, and close the sandwich.
