One Pan Mongolian Beef Noodles with Broccoli
Ingredients
- Noodle4
- Dark soy sauce2 tbsp
- Hoisin sauce3 tbsp
- Mirin2 tbsp
- Five spice · powder¼ tsp
- Sesame oil2 tsp
- Oil2 tbsp
- Garlic2
- Onion1
- Ground beef500 g
- Broccoli5 cups
Instructions
- Mix the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Heat the oil in a large, deep 12-inch pan over high heat, or use a large pot. Add the garlic and onion and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the beef and cook, breaking it up, until no pink remains. Stir in the sauce and cook until it coats the beef well.
- Add the broccoli and stir to coat it in the sauce. It needs no extra cooking time, since it cooks through in the next step.
- Add the water. When it starts bubbling, push in the noodle cakes, broken in half along their length. Leave for 30 seconds, turn them, leave for another 30 seconds.
- Toss the noodles with two spatulas or tongs for 2 to 3 minutes, until soft and no sauce remains in the pan. Add a little more water if they need longer.
- Divide between bowls and serve.
