Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Grate the onion finely. Mix it with the soy sauce, sake and honey. Set aside.
  2. Make shallow vertical cuts about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart in the fat between the lean and fatty parts of each pork chop. Pound the meat a few times with a rolling pin. Season with salt, then lightly coat with flour.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the pork and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, then turn and cook a couple more minutes.
  4. Wipe excess oil from the pan with a paper towel. Add the onion soy sauce and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute.
  5. Cut the pork into about 6 pieces, plate them and spoon the sauce over.
