Quick & Easy Malai Laddu {5 Ingredients}
Ingredients
- Ricotta cheese2 cups
- Heavy cream½ cups
- Sugar¾ cups
- Cardamom · powder½ tsp
- Ghee1 tsp
- Pistachio6
- Dried rose petals1 tsp
Instructions
- In a non-stick pan over medium heat, cook the ricotta, stirring constantly, for 5 to 7 minutes to drive off excess moisture.
- Add the heavy cream and mix thoroughly. Lower the heat and keep stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides of the pan, about 10 to 12 minutes.
- Lower the heat further, then mix in the powdered sugar and cardamom until the sugar fully dissolves.
- Keep cooking until the mixture becomes a dough-like consistency and comes together.
- Stir in the ghee, mix well and turn off the heat.
- Spread the mixture on a plate to cool.
- Roll small portions of the cooled mixture into smooth balls.
- Optionally, press thinly sliced pistachios and dried rose petals onto the tops of the balls, then roll the remaining mixture the same way.
