Browned Butter Honey Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients
- Butter4 tbsp
- Honey4 tbsp
- Lemon1 tbsp + 3
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Garlic3 cloves
- Shrimp21 oz
- Salt1 pinch
- Parsley1 pinch
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat, swirling and stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes until it turns golden brown and smells nutty.
- Add the honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and garlic, stir well and cook for 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant. Remove from the heat.
- Pour out just over half of the browned butter, leaving 2 tablespoons of the sauce in the pan, and set the rest aside.
- Sear half of the shrimp in the sauce for about 2 minutes per side, until just cooked through and no longer opaque. Transfer to a plate.
- Wipe the pan with paper towel and add 2 more tablespoons of the sauce. If it has thickened too much, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil or extra butter. Sear the remaining shrimp for 2 minutes per side, until just cooked through and no longer opaque.
- Return all the shrimp to the pan, pour in the reserved sauce and stir to coat evenly. Season with salt if desired and garnish with parsley.
- Serve with steamed vegetables, over rice, or with a salad.
