Creamy Garlic Parmesan Shrimp
Ingredients
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Shrimp1 lb
- Salt¼ tsp
- Black pepper¼ tsp
- Butter2 tbsp
- Garlic6 cloves
- White wine½ cups
- Cream1 ½ cups
- Parmesan cheese½ cups
- Parsley2 tbsp
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper and fry for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until just cooked through and pink. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
- Melt the butter in the same skillet. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the white wine or broth and let it reduce by half, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Lower the heat to medium-low, add the cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the Parmesan and simmer gently for about another minute, until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
- Return the shrimp to the pan and sprinkle with parsley. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper if needed.
