Easy Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
- Chicken thigh6
- Salt¼ tsp
- Garlic powder2 tsp
- Garlic6 cloves
- Honey⅓ cups
- Rice wine vinegar2 tbsp
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Pepper¼ tsp
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder, and set it aside.
- Heat a pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through.
- Lower the heat, cover the skillet with a lid and keep cooking the bone-in thighs until cooked through, turning them every 5 minutes.
- Pour off most of the oil, leaving about 2 tablespoons of pan juices in the pan.
- When the chicken is cooked through, arrange it skin-side up in the pan. Add the crushed garlic between the pieces and fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add the honey, water, vinegar and soy sauce. Raise the heat to medium-high and simmer until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve over vegetables, rice, pasta or with a salad.
