Ingredients
- Chicken breast1 lb
- Egg1
- Onion powder1 tsp
- Garlic powder1 tsp
- Paprika powder1 tsp
- Smoked paprika powder½ tsp
- Salt1 ¼ tsp
- Breadcrumb1 ½ cups
- Vegetable oil
- Mayonnaise¼ cups
- Greek yoghurt¼ cups
- Bbq sauce½ cups
- Mustard¼ cups
- Dijon mustard1 tbsp
- Honey1 tbsp
- Lemon1 tsp
Instructions
- Preheat the oven or air fryer to 390°F (200°C). For oven only, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, onion powder, garlic powder, both paprikas and chicken salt until well combined.
- Add the chicken pieces to the egg mixture and toss until every piece is coated.
- Put the breadcrumbs on a separate plate. Working in batches, lift a few pieces out of the egg, let the excess drip off, then roll them in the breadcrumbs to coat.
- Oven method: Place the nuggets on the lined sheet, not touching. Spray the tops generously with oil. Bake 8 minutes, flip, then bake another 7-10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Air fryer method: Spray both sides of the nuggets with oil and arrange them in the basket with space between them, in batches if needed. Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 12 minutes, turning halfway through.
- While the nuggets cook, whisk together the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
- Serve the nuggets hot with the sauce on the side.
