Instructions

  1. Line a 9 x 13 inch baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power for 1½ to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  3. Spread the melted chocolate on the parchment into a rectangle about 9 x 12 inches. Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes.
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 50% power for 1½ to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  5. Take the tray out of the fridge. Pour the melted white chocolate over the set chocolate and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over it and gently press them in with a clean spatula.
  6. Refrigerate for 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes.
  7. Cut the bark into 24 pieces, each about 2 inches square, with a sharp knife, or break it into smaller pieces by hand. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
