Ingredients
- Milk2 ½ cups
- Cream½ cups
- Cornstarch2 tbsp
- Flour¼ cups
- Orange blossom water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, add the whole milk, heavy cream, cornstarch and flour. Whisk until smooth with no lumps.
- Set the pan over medium-high heat and stir constantly so the cream doesn't stick or form lumps. Bring to a gentle boil, then keep cooking for 1 minute after it starts to thicken.
- Once thickened, remove from the heat and stir in vanilla extract or a few drops of orange blossom water until fully mixed.
- Transfer to a bowl, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to stop a skin forming, and let cool completely. Then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
