Sometimes all YOU NEED is this simple meal - Green Bean Crispy Garlic Fried Rice
Ingredients
- Rice · cooked3–4 cups
- Garlic4
- Mushroom3 ½ oz + ½ tsp
- Tofu4 oz
- Green bean · chopped¾ cups
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Soy sauce½ tbsp
- Sesame oil
- Sesame seed · toasted
- Chili oil
- Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat a large pan or wok over medium heat and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. When hot, lower the heat to low-medium.
- Add the garlic slices and fry, stirring often, until crisp. Lower the heat further if they brown too fast. Strain the garlic out and set it aside.
- In the same oil, fry the mushrooms until golden brown and fragrant. Push them aside and fry the tofu until lightly browned on the outside, adding more oil if needed. Season with a pinch of salt.
- Toss everything together for a few seconds.
- Push everything to one side, add another teaspoon of oil, and cook the green beans until they turn from light green to darker green. Season with salt.
- Add the rice, mushroom seasoning, pepper and soy sauce, then toss everything together. Use the back of the spatula to loosen the grains if needed. Keep cooking until the grains start to jump in the pan.
- Top with toasted sesame seeds and chili oil with sediment, and serve hot.
