Strawberry Iced Tea Recipe
Ingredients
- Tea4 tsp
- Strawberry2 cups
- Lemon1–2 tbsp
- Maple syrup2–3 tbsp
Instructions
- Pour 2 cups of hot water over the black tea in a heatproof jug or bowl. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how strong you like it. Remove the tea bags or strain out the leaves, and let the tea cool slightly.
- In a blender, blend the strawberries, maple syrup (or other sweetener) and 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice until smooth. For a smoother texture, strain through a fine sieve to remove the seeds.
- In a large pitcher, mix the brewed tea, strawberry puree, 2 to 3 cups cold water and ice. Stir well until the sweetener has dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity.
- Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the chilled tea over. Garnish with mint, strawberry slices or lemon wedges if you like.
