Taco Night Just Got Better #shorts
Ingredients
- Ground beef1 lb
- Onion1
- Garlic2
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Taco seasoning3 tbsp
- Tortilla8
- Lettuce · shredded
- Pico de gallo · diced
- Cheddar cheese · shredded
- Guacamole
- Hot sauce
Instructions
- If making your own taco seasoning, mix all the seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. If using store-bought, measure out 3 tablespoons.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spatula, cooking for about 4 minutes until mostly browned.
- Stir in the diced onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until softened and the beef is fully cooked. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. If there is a lot of grease, spoon off most of it, leaving about 1 tablespoon.
- Add the 3 tablespoons taco seasoning and 1 tablespoon tomato paste. Stir and cook for 1 minute until the beef is evenly coated.
- Add 1/2 cup water and stir. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until juicy and lightly saucy with no excess liquid.
- Warm the taco shells or tortillas. Fill each with the meat and add your toppings.
