The BEST Brownie Recipe
Ingredients
- Butter1 cup
- Sugar2 cups
- Cocoa powder¾ cups
- Egg3
- Vanilla1 tbsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Flour1 cup
- Chocolate chip1 ½ cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch pan and line it with parchment.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted (about 2 minutes). Add the sugar and cocoa and whisk hard for 30 seconds. Whisk in the eggs, vanilla and salt.
- Fold in the flour and chocolate chips with a spatula until just combined. Spread the batter in the pan and sprinkle with extra chocolate chips if you like.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes for fudgy brownies, or up to 55 minutes for cakey brownies. They are done when a toothpick in the center comes out with a little batter or a few moist crumbs for fudgy, or only a few crumbs for cakey.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing.
