Ingredientes
- Yeast3 cdtas.
- Flour3 ½ tazas
- Milk¾ tazas + 1 cda.
- Butter13 cdas.
- Egg2
- Sugar1 ¼ tazas
- Salt1 cdta.
- Brown sugar½ tazas
- Cinnamon2 cdas.
- Cream cheese5 oz
- Vanilla1 cdta.
Preparación
- Combine flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a stand mixer with a dough hook. Add warm milk (105°F), melted butter and eggs.
- Mix on low until a shaggy dough forms, then knead on medium for 6–8 minutes. The dough should be tacky but pull cleanly from the sides; add a little flour only if it is very sticky.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover and let rise in a warm spot until doubled, about 60–90 minutes.
- Mix the softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon until smooth to make the filling.
- Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12×18-inch (30×45 cm) rectangle. Spread the filling evenly, leaving a small border.
- Roll tightly from the long side into a log. Trim the ends and cut into 12 rolls, using unflavored dental floss to slice cleanly without squashing.
- Place the rolls in a parchment-lined 9×13-inch (23×33 cm) pan, spaced apart. Cover loosely and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.
- Heat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Bake 18–22 minutes until lightly golden and soft in the center. Do not overbake.
- Whisk the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk until smooth to make the frosting.
- Spread the frosting over the warm (not hot) rolls and serve.
