Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Put the sugar in a small saucepan with the zest of 2 lemons and rub the sugar and zest together with your fingers.
  2. Add 1 cup water, heat on medium-high until the sugar fully dissolves (no need to boil), then let the syrup cool in the fridge.
  3. Halve 10 to 12 lemons and squeeze out the juice, then strain it through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds and pulp.
  4. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and blend them until smooth. If you have no blender, crush them well with two forks or a potato masher.
  5. In the dispenser or pitcher, put 1 cup sliced strawberries and 2 sliced lemons, then add about 2 cups ice.
  6. Pour in the chilled syrup, the lemon juice and the strawberry puree.
  7. Add 6 cups water (up to 8 to taste) and stir well with a large spoon.
  8. Chill the lemonade for a few hours before serving, and use only a little ice when serving so it does not dilute.
