Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry on paper towels, season with salt and pepper, and thinly slice 8 of the garlic cloves.
  2. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add 4 tbsp (60 ml) olive oil.
  3. After a couple of minutes, add the sliced garlic and crushed red pepper and stir constantly. After 1 minute, add the shrimp in a single layer and fry for 1 minute per side, or until just cooked through. Turn off the heat, add the paprika and mix.
  4. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 2 finely grated garlic cloves, the lemon juice and 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and whisk.
  5. Cut the baguette into 4-inch (10 cm) pieces, then slice each piece in half lengthwise.
  6. Spread a dollop of aioli on the bottom and top halves of each roll, add a generous portion of the garlic shrimp to the bottom half, and finish with chopped chives.
