Modo de preparo

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease a 9 x 12-inch rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray or butter and set aside.
  2. Fill a medium saucepan with 1–2 inches of water and bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Set a dry heatproof bowl on top, not touching the water. Melt the butter and chocolate in the bowl, stirring often and scraping the sides, until smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly, 5–10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour and baking powder. Add the melted chocolate and stir well for 4–5 minutes. Stir in the eggs, vanilla and salt.
  4. Pour the batter onto the prepared sheet and scatter the walnuts over the top, pressing them lightly into the batter.
  5. Bake until the edges crisp, the brownies rise about ¼ inch, and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35–40 minutes. Cool on the sheet for 30 minutes.
  6. For the glaze, combine the water, apricot preserves and gelatin in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat without stirring, then cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Take off the heat.
  7. Brush a thin layer of glaze over the cooled brownies, sprinkle with flaky sea salt if using, and serve.
