This Green Papaya Salad Recipe is spicy, salty, sweet, and A LITTLE NUTTY
Ingredients
- Papaya1
- Thai basil25 g
- Mint25 g
- Ginger
- Apple1
- Cherry tomato2 cups
- Garlic2 pieces
- Chili pepper3
- Lime1
- Rice wine vinegar⅓ cups
- Maple syrup2 tbsp
- Soy sauce2 ½ tbsp

Instructions
- Peel the green papaya. Holding it in one hand and the knife in the other, make many close, continuous cuts across it, wearing a cut-resistant glove if you have one.
- Slice down through the papaya to make rustic, uneven shreds. Turn it and repeat until the inner seeds show through.
- Add the Thai basil and mint to the papaya. Cut the ginger and apple into very thin matchsticks and add them. Thinly slice the cherry tomatoes and add them.
- Finely chop the garlic and chilies. Put them in a bowl with the juice of 1 lime, the rice vinegar, maple syrup and soy sauce, and mix.
- Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add the peanuts and toast for 4-5 minutes. Move them to a mortar and coarsely crush them.
- Plate the salad and sprinkle crushed peanuts on top.
