This Is the Easiest Turkey Gravy You’ll Ever Make! #shorts
Ingredients
- Flour3 tbsp
- Turkey · roasted3 tbsp + 2 cups
- Milk¼ cups
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Once the turkey is out of the roasting pan and resting, strain all the drippings through a fine mesh sieve into a large measuring cup, and discard what stays in the sieve.
- Let the drippings settle for a minute so the fat rises to the top. Skim off 3 Tbsp of fat into a medium saucepan (add butter if you have less than 3 Tbsp). Skim off and discard the rest of the fat.
- Make sure you have 2 cups of drippings; add water or broth if needed.
- Set the saucepan over medium heat. When the fat starts to sizzle, whisk in 3 Tbsp flour and stir until well combined. Keep whisking until it turns a light golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in the drippings, then bring to a light boil while whisking.
- Add 1/4 cup milk, stock, or water until the gravy reaches your desired consistency and taste, then simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste if needed.
- Remove from heat, cover, and keep warm. Transfer to a gravy boat to serve; it will thicken slightly as it cools.
