Tie Dye Popsicle Recipe (No Popsicle Mold Needed!)
Ingredients
- Banana · frozen5
- Yoghurt2 ½ cups
- Raspberry · frozen½ cups
- Strawberry · frozen½ cups
- Honey5 tbsp
- Peach · frozen½ cups
- Orange1
- Mango · frozen¼ cups
- Pineapple · frozen1 ½ cups
- Spinach · frozen¾ cups
- Blueberry · frozen½ cups
- Blackberry · frozen½ cups
Instructions
- Grease a 9x5 inch (23x12½ cm) loaf pan and line it with 3 large layers of plastic wrap, leaving the extra hanging over all edges.
- For each layer, blend all its ingredients until smooth, adding water 1 tablespoon at a time only if needed to blend.
- Rinse the bowl between layers so the colours stay bright.
- Spoon the colours randomly into the pan, keeping the spoon close to the surface so the layers don't sink and mix.
- Once all colours are in, drag a thin knife once through the layers in a wide zigzag.
- Cover the pan with foil. Starting 1 inch (2½ cm) in from a long edge, make slits about 3 cm apart, about 7 per side, and repeat on the other side.
- Insert popsicle sticks through the slits almost to the bottom of the pan, then freeze for at least 8 hours or until solid.
- To unmold, lift the plastic wrap to pull out the popsicle block; if stuck, let it sit a few minutes on the counter.
- Peel off the plastic wrap, cut down the centre lengthwise, then cut between the sticks into individual popsicles. Serve right away.
- Leftovers keep in cling wrap in the freezer for up to 1 week.
