Turkish Apple Cookies Buttery & Cozy Treat!
Ingredients
- Butter1 stick
- Sugar4 tbsp
- Baking powder½ tsp
- Flour1 ½ cups
- Milk2–3 tbsp
- Apple2
- Cinnamon1 tsp
- Walnut · chopped2 tbsp
Instructions
- Filling: Cook the grated apples with the cinnamon and granulated sugar over medium-high heat until soft and fragrant. Stir in the walnuts, take off the heat and let the filling cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Beat the softened butter, powdered sugar and baking powder together. Gradually mix in the flour and milk until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. Divide into three equal balls.
- On a floured surface, roll each ball into a small circle. Cut around a 6 or 8 inch plate to get a clean circle, re-rolling the scraps.
- Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Put a little filling on the wide end of each, then roll toward the narrow tip to form a crescent. Place on the sheet.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden. Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar if you like.
