- Egg1
- Salt1 ½ tsp
- Chili flake · flakes1 tsp
- Black pepper1 tsp
- Potato2
- Butter1 tbsp
- Milk½ cups
- Mozzarella cheese · grated100 g
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
Instructions
- Put the ground beef in a large tray. Add the grated bread, grated onion, egg and grated garlic. Season with salt, red pepper flakes and black pepper, then mix.
- Roll a handful of the meat mixture between your hands and shape each into a bowl shape.
- Bake on 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes in a preheated oven, taking care not to overcook the meatballs.
- Boil the potatoes in a large saucepan for about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool until you can peel them.
- Peel the potatoes, add salt and butter, then add 3 tablespoons of milk and warm over medium heat. Mash the potatoes, adding more milk if you want a softer puree.
- Stuff 2 tablespoons of the puree into each baked meatball. Spread grated mozzarella over the tops.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of tomato paste with half a cup of water to make the sauce, and pour it around the meatballs.
- Bake at 180°C (360°F) for 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
