Vegan Maguro Zuke Don (Tekka Don Rice Bowl) Recipe | OCHIKERON | Create Eat Happy :)
Ingredients
- Tomato300 g
- Soy sauce2 tsp
- Vinegar2 tsp
- Sesame oil1 tsp
- Avocado½
- Rice · cooked
- Kizaminori
- Sesame seed · toasted
- Perilla leaf
- Wasabi paste
Instructions
- Drop the tomatoes into boiling water, poke the skin with a toothpick to loosen it, then move them to cold water and peel.
- In a cooking tray, mix the soy sauce, vinegar and sesame oil.
- Cut the tomatoes into wedges, removing the seeds, and marinate them for about 10 minutes; do not leave them longer or they turn watery.
- Meanwhile, put the rice in a rice bowl and let it cool, since cold rice keeps the vegetables from warming. Slice the avocado.
- Place the shredded nori on the rice, arrange the marinated tomato and avocado on top, pour over some marinade, and sprinkle with toasted white sesame seeds and green onions or shiso leaves if using. Add fresh wasabi on top if you like.
