Worlds Best Margherita Cauliflower Pizza Crust Recipe
Ingredients
- Cauliflower12 oz
- Parmesan cheese · grated0.92 cups
- Almond flour¼ cups + 2 tbsp
- Egg · beaten2
- The Fit Cook Land Seasoning1 ½ tbsp
- Garlic powder2 tsp
- Low calorie pizza sauce¼ cups
- Tomato · sliced1
- Mozzarella cheese · shredded¾ cups
- Basil · chopped½ cups
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Blend the cauliflower florets in a food processor until grainy, like couscous.
- Microwave the cauliflower in a microwave-safe bowl for 2 to 3 minutes to steam it.
- Let it cool enough to handle, then wrap it in cheesecloth or heavy paper towel and squeeze out as much water as you can.
- Put the squeezed cauliflower in a dry bowl and add the remaining ingredients. The dough should be wet but not watery; if it is watery, add equal tablespoons of almond flour and parmesan.
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper, press the dough into a shape about 1 cm thick... not too thin, so it holds the toppings.
- Bake for 17 to 20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but not burned.
- Cool the crust for 5 to 7 minutes, ideally on a rack.
- Remove the parchment or place the crust directly on the tray, add the toppings, and bake for 7 to 10 minutes until the cheese has melted and is lightly golden on top.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
